gREEN BUSINESS PROGRAM

Ventura County Green Business Program

What is the Ventura County Green Business?

Ventura County Green Business (VCGB) is a part of the California Green Business Network (CAGBN), whose mission is to assist businesses to operate sustainably as well as profitably. VCGB works with local government agencies to provide assistance to small-to-medium sized businesses who chose to go through the process of becoming Green Certified. To be certified, participants must be in compliance with all environmental regulations and meet program standards for saving water, conserving energy, preventing pollution, and minimizing waste.

For all regular businesses, there will be up to a $500 rebate that qualify for our program. There is also an additional $500 rebate for businesses that are either LGBTQ+ or BIPOC owned!

Access to clean power should not be only for the privileged, which is why we offer three tiers of competitively-priced clean energy options. We also reinvest revenue back into communities to provide additional benefits like green job creation and increased access to affordable clean energy for disadvantaged communities.

Promote your business by joining the Green Leader Program and receive benefits such as access to decals and other promotional materials for display and marketing, opportunities for co-promotion, recognition and networking events, assistance developing and promoting your GHG reduction metrics, featured profiles of your business or organization on the Green Leader Program – Clean Power Alliance website, and more!

CaliforniaFirst Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program offers attractive long-term commercial financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, cogeneration and water efficiency projects. PACE loans do not require a down-payment or an upfront capital improvement investment but instead the loan is repaid through an assessment placed on the property tax bill. Visit Energy Saving Resources – Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (vcenergy.org) to learn more about the finance programs.
