Register

Proper residential HVAC design has been required by code for many years, but has been poorly enforced.  With the new emphasis on heat pumps, proper design is more important than ever.  This class will help building departments understand what to ask for and how to check residential HVAC designs to make sure that they meet the code requirements.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what codes require residential HVAC design.
  • Understand what ACCA is and why their design manuals are so important.
  • Understand the importance and benefits of good HVAC design.
  • Understand what to require in a submittal package.
  • Understand how to check the design and calculations to ensure compliance with code.
