In his role as Program Administrator, Clay Downing focuses on ensuring robust implementation of programs that are part of the County of Ventura’s Climate Action Plan that include interagency strategy and coordination, implementation program monitoring and reporting, management of the Ventura County Climate Emergency Council, and other programs administered by the County’s Sustainability Division. In addition to his work with the Sustainability Division, Clay draws on experience in long-range land use planning from the Ventura County Planning Division, served in the Peace Corps as an environmental education volunteer in Nicaragua (2003-2005), and has experience in nonprofit and private organizations.
