On Thursday, May 25, 2023 the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) brought together their Energy Champions for a networking and update meeting. The Energy Champions are employees of city agencies, county agencies, and other local organizations working on energy and sustainability issues. The meeting was a great opportunity for people to hear of what each group is up to and to find opportunities for collaboration. VCREA staff got to present on two large grants that the alliance is applying for, the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant for a regional Climate Action Plan and the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Community grant for increasing electrical vehicle infrastructure in the county. The Energy Champions aim to meet twice a year to continue this regional networking and collaboration.
