Access to clean power should not be only for the privileged. Certain Ventura County residents have the power to choose where they want their electricity to come from. The Clean Power Alliance offers three tiers of competitively-priced clean energy options. and reinvests the revenue back into communities to provide additional benefits like green job creation and increased access to affordable clean energy for disadvantaged communities.

Climate Action and Adaptation
In 2020, the Ventura County 2040 General Plan was adopted by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors and established a community Climate Action Plan (CAP) with the intended goal to reduce GHG emissions and mitigate climate change impacts.

Energy Efficiency and Home Energy Savings
Residents in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties can participate in the Home Energy Savings program. Through this program, residents can save money while making their homes healthier with energy efficient upgrades. Both residents living in single-family and multifamily properties qualify.

The County of Ventura is working with partners along the Central Coast in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Counties to develop an educational community engagement platform that will provide household-level information and provide tailored information about accessing programs and incentives.
